Gastbeitrag Weinrallye #62: 5 Euro Wein – Kann das gut sein?

Hier nun der erste Gastbeitrag zur Weinrallye #62 – geschrieben von Marc Dröfke:

Hendrik Thoma antwortet einst auf die Frage ob es einen anständigen Rotwein für unter 5 Euro gäbe wie folgt: „Für diesen Betrag gibt es gibt es kein Erlebnis, sondern nur Wirkung. Sicher, Geschmack ist eine subjektive Angelegenheit. Doch einen wirklich guten Wein zu diesem Preis zu bekommen ist Utopie.“ Die Kritik zu seiner Aussage die in der Zeitung „Die Welt“ abgedruckt wurde, kam postwendend. Thoma wurde Borniertheit und Snobismus vorgeworfen, es gab Verkostungen die das Gegenteil beweisen sollten und, und, und.

Der sehr bekannte Hamburger Autor Mario Scheuermann der ebenfalls viel über Wein, Restaurants, Reisen und noch andere Themen bloggt (www.weinreporter.net) schrieb: „Wer diese Frage so kategorisch verneint wie Thoma das getan hat, hat entweder den Bezug zur Realität verloren oder er ist arrogant, ideologisch verblendet bzw. propagiert ein Weinweltbild weit jenseits des Mainstreams.“

Harter Tobak, doch Thoma steht zu seiner Aussage. Bis heute.

Tim recently generated buzz in the German wine scene by organizing a world wide Pinot Noir blind tasting/battle with selected German participants – with one very impressive result: the German Pinots rivals nearly all of them!
